The Phantom Troupe consists of thirteen members who are highly proficient in using Nen are at the master level in their respective field. The Troupe is founded on the structure of Spider. Kurapika killed Uvogin while Hisoka joined the Phantom Troupe by killing a 4th ranked member, as it is clearly stated in the guidelines that to join the troupe one has to kill one of the existing members. At instance of Hisoka, Illumi too joined the ranks of the troupe. Later Hisoka betrayed them and killed Machi, Shalnark, and Kortopi. Phantom Troupe were last seen on the Black whale.
